After camping for 3 weeks in Botswana the Crystal Duvet was just the comfort and luxury we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Access to a fully-equipped kitchen was great for those times we preferred to stay 'home'. The sitting areas also meant we weren't confined to our room. It was a very comfortable, well-appointed guesthouse which I fully recommend to fellow travellers.

As we were not accustomed to the degree of security required to stay in Jo'Burg we found it rather annoying that we couldn't walk anywhere freely and were reliant on taxis. However, we were safe which I understand can be a problem in Jo'Burg. This is not a complaint about the Crystal Duvet, but a comment on one of the challenges when staying in Jo'Burg generally.

The cleanness of the room, quiet neighbourhood, near of the freeway. Free minibar.

It would be better to have a door between the bedroom and the bathroom instead of a curtain. On the terrace windows a light curtain is missing if we want just to stay in the room and enjoy the daylight without being seen by people in the garden. The breakfast is not a buffet.

The services and the room. The place was also very quiet and relaxing, and the staff very friendly. By the end of the third day, was feeling at home, using the kitchen, working in the common area, a very good experience

Didnt have gym, they could have an agreement with the gym that is less than a block away

The hotel is in a fine location in Sandton not far from Mandela square and other shopping centres. The room is comfortable, clean and the environment is naturally attractive and peaceful. The staff is warm. I recommend this small, luxurious guest house any day to any traveller.

I can't think of anything which I didn't like about this guest house.

I had asked for dinner and it was fabulous. They had taken my request into consideration and provided a magnificent meal and drinks. Overall the experience was brilliant. Service was great and I wanted for nothing.

Fast and hassle free checkin. Got a key immediately which allowed me to leave and come whenever I liked. No reception service at night, though not needed. The guesthouse is located in a gated community, the area is quiet. No facilities in walking distance, that means a taxi (or a rental car) is required to leave anywhere (but this is probably common in Johannesburg). Ask for the Wifi password upon arrival.

My stay was not pleasant at all. The linen was not changed from the previous visitors. The bathroom had not been swept clean. Not a nice experience at all. I had booked the double room and got given the single room without notice from the venue.
